Wings of Impire

The series consists of 12 series, each of which is a complete story and at the same time is an emotional puzzle, connecting the fates of the main characters. Everything begins in 1913 with the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Romanovs' house and ends with the events of 1921, when a bloody point was put in the end of the civil war, namely, the crushing of the Kronstadt rebellion.

In each series, a true event takes place with the participation of real historical figures: Nicholas II, Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, Rodzianko, Miliukov, Kerensky, others. This not only gives a reliable context and streamlines the sequence of historical facts for the viewer, but also reveals the reasons that In fact, influenced the tragic events of the revolution.

The main characters represent the three social groups of Russian society of that era, which makes it possible to create not only melodramatic but also historical conflicts, exacerbating the class contradictions that eventually led each of them into revolution.

SergeyKirsanov-Dvinsky, a cadet of the Nikolayev Cavalry School, which he did in spite of the will of the imperious mother, not wanting to repeat the fate of his elder brother and go to the Corps of Pages. Nikolaev Cavalry College chose from a romantic predilection for the images of Lermontov, the brightest graduate of this institution. Ambitious, selfish, talented in the business that he chose. Tragic accident (the death of a fellow student in a duel) throws him to the Caucasus, where he, as part of the Wild Division, meets the beginning of the First World War.

In the war he manifests himself as a brilliant young officer. The revolution at first does not take categorically, because of what falls into the Peter and Paul Fortress, where it almost dies. But later, seeing the general betrayal of the tsarist generals, the idle talk of Kerensky and his team goes to the Bolsheviks and becomes one of the bloodiest commanders in Comrade Trotsky's army. However, spiritual devastation and a personal life stalemate lead him during the Kronstadt uprising to the logical tragic finale.

Sophia Bekker, from the family of Russified Germans, hereditary bakers and confectioners. She writes poetry, dreams of writer's glory. Her father, Ivan Karlovich, adores her daughter, who, as a result, goes from the "ruddy school girl" to the steel and unbending icon of the revolution. But before that, a romantic love story for Prince SergeyDvinsky, a conflict with his family due to insoluble class contradictions, a tragic death of his father during the German pogroms, a departure to the cocaine-soaked world of St. Petersburg bohemia, hunger and poverty are waiting for her.

The meeting with Kerensky leads her into the thick of the revolutionary mash. Events begin to flash like a kaleidoscope. It turns out that in the Winter Palace at a meeting of the Provisional Government, then on the Western Front before the enthusiastic crowd of soldiers who greet Kerensky, then the commissar is already Trotsky's army when taking Kazan, who is being taken to be shot. In the finals, she is in besieged Kronstadt, who storms the shelves of her former lover.

Matvey Osipov(22 years), a worker, is the most complex and controversial character. In the beginning, young and enthusiastic member of the underground cell of the Socialist Revolutionaries, he enthusiastically prepares an attempt on the sovereign. But a fatal acquaintance with Sophia Bekker changes his whole life. Because of the flushed feelings for the girl, he destroys all the plans of the revolutionaries, becomes an outcast in their midst, almost dies.

In addition, the tragic death of his beloved sister makes him go to the murder, because of which fate throws him into the Turukhansk region. The fatal meeting with Stalin, who is serving time in those places, makes him soon one of the most reliable Bolshevik fighters. He organizes "exes", establishes underground publishing houses, protects Lenin when he moves in the famous sealed car, and eliminates the conspiracy of his former Socialist-Revolutionary colleagues. He becomes indispensable and, accordingly, very dangerous for some members of the Bolshevik leadership, which leads him to break with the Bolsheviks and now organizes an assassination on Lenin, which mystically again breaks through the fault of Sophia. But the tragedy of the surrounding reality and the insolubility of internal contradictions of character lead him to a sad, though logical, finale: during the Kronstadt events he loses his mind.

In addition to historical events, it should be noted that it was in these tragic years in Russia that a large number of contradictory, complex but talented people lived. Despite of all the horror of what was happening around them, masterpieces were created in music, painting, science and technology, so the term "Silver Age" can be safely attributed not only to literature. The events of the culturological plan will sometimes be woven into the plotline, and one of the main characters will participate in it (the performance of the ensemble directed by Andreev or the staged by Meyerhold Lermontov's "Masquerade" in February 1917). The construction of the giant aircraft "Russia" by engineer Tokarev (from 1913 to 1921), which never once took off to the sky, will become a symbol of the crashed hopes of the protagonists, each of whom, in his own way, put on the revolution and lost.
