A killer murdered a director, Laptev, of a big publishing house. Kuragin, an oligarch, is a new boss, It is appeared that Laptev got money but didn`t gave it back. All present employees are former ones, the publishing house has other people and other activity.  Laptev`s friend, Veselov, a writer, got a letter written by  dead Laptev in advance of several hours till his death. The letter is a kind of  a puzzle which can be solved only by Veselov.
