The musical "Master and Margarita" will be shown from November 9 to 15 and December 15 to December 23 on the stage of the Music Hall Theater.
"Master and Margarita" is a grandiose international project that united the best creative resources of Russia and Europe; it is a titanic work of hundreds of talented people.
The first time in Russia, the effect of 3D-scenery, created by one of the largest Russian film studios, "Triiks Media", that did not require the perception of stereo glasses, was synchronized with the sound of the live orchestra. More than half a year the film company "Triiks Media" worked on the implementation of the task.
The basis of the creative group was Sofia Sirakanian (director), Irina Afanasyeva (author of the director's conception), Andrey Noskov (creative producer) and Timofey Zhalnin (director of video content). The authors of the libretto were Irina Afanasyeva and Maria Oshmyanskaya, and the poetic texts were written by Andrey Pastushenko and Igor Shevchuk. Six wonderful composers created music for the musical - Anton Tanonov, Sergei Rubalsky, Olga Thomas, Irina Dolgova, Oleg Popkov, AlexanderMaev.
Casting was conducted all over Russia, in three rounds - more than 1,000 people attended it. However, even for those who passed the selection, the project was so complex that not all reached the premiere. Now the artists of "The Master and Margarita" perform the most complicated vocal parts: the arias of the main characters are designed for a very wide vocal range, and the tessitura of Vocal's vocal numbers reaches the 3rd octave.
In the role of Woland, the laureate of the Golden Mask award Ivan Ozhogin will perform, Anton Avdeev as Master. For a long time the information that Anna Kovalchuk, will perform one of the roles in the musical namely - Gelli, leaked to the press.
At the pre-premiere performance were all the creators of the musical - the authors of the libretto, artists and composers, including Olga Thomas - the composer of Her Majesty the Queen of Great Britain. Also, Sergey Shilovsky-Bulgakov (grandson and successor to Mikhail Bulgakov) will arrive - he will first see a musical, which he approved for staging after many doubts.
